Technical Notes
1. Kit Configuration: This product is an upstream (234-4620) + downstream (234-4261) oxygen sensor kit. The upstream sensor handles closed-loop air-fuel ratio control, while the downstream sensor monitors catalytic converter efficiency. Replacement of both sensors is recommended to ensure optimal emission system performance.
2. Wiring Harness Differences: The downstream sensor's wiring harness (approx. 515mm) is significantly longer than the upstream's (approx. 290mm). This design accommodates its installation further rearward behind the vehicle's catalytic converter. Ensure proper routing during installation.
3. Installation Notes: Both sensors utilize M18×1.5 standard threads. Use a dedicated oxygen sensor socket during installation, applying a torque of 40-50 N·m (30-37 ft-lb). Ensure the female connector securely mates with the original vehicle wiring harness male connector and implement waterproofing.
4. Performance Description: Features a heated design to rapidly reach operating temperature, enhancing emission control efficiency during cold starts. This synergistically optimizes engine fuel economy and reduces harmful emissions.
